Openwell Submersible Pump sets are ideally suitable for ideally suitable for openwells or tanks where a wide fluctuation of water level occur. This works under water and rest at the bottom of the well. Prime mover is rewindable, water – cooled motor. Specially designed water lubricated bearing are used to withstand the axial thrust loads with minimum wear and tear. The stator is wound with special waterproof synthetic film insulated copper winding wires and made up of low watt loss silicon steel laminations assembled under pressure and rigidly locked. Motor sealing is made by polymers, ‘O’ rings, oil seals and sand guard to avoid ingress of well water/salt into the motor. Pressure equalizing rubber diaphragm is provided to guard the motor from pressure and volume variation of water as detailed in our operator’s manual. Three phase motor requires an adequate motor protection control panel.

Pumps that are partially or completely above the fluid level allow air into the suction line, which must be evacuated or displaced before the pump can move the liquid. Self-priming pumps are capable of removing air at startup before beginning its normal pumping functions.

To avoid the mixing of air and water, self-priming pumps create a partial vacuum to discharge water while also evacuating any air. It does this by combining the air and water during the priming process, forcing the air to rise and the water to sink or go down. Gravity then pulls the air-free water back into the impeller, where it mixes with the remaining air in the suction line.

This process repeats until all air is evacuated and a vacuum forms in the suction line. Once this happens, atmospheric pressure forces the water into the suction line and towards the impeller to allow pumping to begin.

• Entrained Gas Handling – Due to their ability to vent suction lines they can handle fluids with entrained gasses, priming for up to 30 mins without drawing liquid.

Features :

 

·  The pump volute shall be of cast Iron grade FG260 as per IS 210/ISO 486 with vertical discharge port, semi open radial impeller with material of construction of Cast Iron (standard supply), CF8 and CF8M, suitable for pumping liquids up to 50 deg. C.

·  The pump shaft shall be made of stainless steel as per ASTM A582 and grade of AISI 410.

·  The Pump shaft sealing shall be supplied with double mechanical shaft seal of material Carbon/Ceramic/NBR/AISI 304 up to 1 Hp and above 1 HP the mechanical shaft seal material shall be Sic/Sic /Viton /AISI 316 at the pump end.

·  The pump shall be close coupled with dry submersible motor, having class F insulation, IP 68 protection, 2900 rpm, epoxy sealed cable entry, with S1 duty for fully submerged and S3 duty for partially submerged, 1 phase, 240 volts, 3 phase, 415 volts.

·  All cast iron parts shall be CED (cathode electrode deposition) coated for corrosion resistance with uniform coating and controlled deposition thickness of 20-30 microns.
